Welcome to Bethany Worship Center!

 

Thank you for taking the time to view our website!  The Lord spoke to Pastor Matt and Sister Felisa in 2012 as Pastor Matt was retiring from the U.S. Army in San Antonio, Texas. He said, "Go to Katy, Texas and tell people 'With God all things are possible." Stepping out in faith and obedience, their family moved to Katy in 2012 and began to seek the Lord for further direction.

 

Following confirmation through spiritual leadership and authority, the church was incorporated as Bethany Worship Center on January 4, 2014. The church began as a Bible study in their home with six members. After six months, the Lord directed Pastor Matt to the Hilton Garden Inn in Katy to hold Bible Study. Many people came from various denominations and ethnicities to worship God and hear the engaging and practical teaching of the Word of God.

 

Following the addition of the Sunday Services in 2015, the church relocated to the Courtyard Marriott until a more permanent place of worship was established.  The Bethany Worship Center family continued to serve God and the Katy community until the last service in August 2023 following the June 2023 passing of our pastor and founder, Matthew Miller.

Bethany Worship Center was a member of the Living Word Covenant Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Clarence R. Williams Jr. of Junction City, Kansas. Bishop Williams served as a spiritual father for accountability, mentorship and fellowship.  We were also blessed to have Bishop Stephen and Pastor Margaret Davison as our regional overseers in the Southwest Region of the Living Word Covenant Fellowship.
