Matthew S. Miller ~ Founding Pastor
The late Pastor Matthew Miller was a gifted teacher, psalmist, and songwriter.
He came to the Lord in January 1995 in El Paso, Texas. After moving to Kansas in 1997, he joined Living Word of Christ Church where God established a fresh foundation for him as a man, husband, father and servant of God. He served under Bishop and Lady Wanda Williams as a Children’s Church Teacher, Praise and Worship Leader and Minister of Music. While at Living Word, he was ordained as an Elder in 2003.
His passion was always to see God’s people awake to an intense and intimate relationship with their Heavenly Father. His commission from God was twofold; to lead people into the presence of the Lord and to teach people to get to God for themselves. His prayer was that every believer experienced the manifested presence of God through an intimate relationship with Him.
After retiring from the US Army in 2011, Pastor Miller was called to move to Katy, Texas to tell people “With God all things are possible.” Upon confirmation of the call of God through Bishop Clarence Williams Jr., Pastor Miller and Lady Felisa launched Bethany Worship Center in January 2014.
Pastor Miller also worked as a Physician Assistant for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in Katy, Texas. He and Felisa were married for over 29 years and were blessed with three sons – Terrance, Joshua and Caleb.
Felisa L. Miller ~ Executive Pastor
Lady Felisa Miller is a God lover who is a loving mother to three sons. She also came to the Lord in January 1995 at Christ Cathedral New Life Worship Center in El Paso, TX. Serving in a variety of areas in churches over the years, Lady Felisa gained valuable experience that has helped her become a skilled administrator. She is an Army veteran who served as a Military Intelligence Specialist before standing with her husband as an Army wife for 18 years. She is the owner of Captured Moment Photography, a Christian counselor, and an active volunteer in the Fort Bend County community. Lady Felisa loves God and His people and is a faithful encourager. She has long stood on Philippians 4:13 believing that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. As a recent widow, she has gotten to know God intimately as her Sustainer and Provider and is committed to continue walking in purpose and living out the vision to love God, live like Jesus and help others do the same.
